Aside from its main broadcast location in Melbourne, the Kiss FM network of radio stations has been spreading its music to various other countries in Europe and the rest of the world. In the Republic of Moldova, the Kiss FM station is the first radio station to be broadcast on the national DAB multiplex.

The Kiss FM radio station was launched in October 1985. It was originally a pirate radio station. However, it was soon acquired by the Emmis Communications, a company that owns several other radio stations at https://emisorasderadioonline.es/radio-kiss-fm-en-directo/

When the station was first launched, the station was primarily targeting older black audiences. It also featured RB celebrities on its shows. But, after several years, the ratings dropped.

When the radio station was bought by Emmis, they changed the programming to classic soul and RB. It was then sold to ESPN for $96 million. Now, the Kiss FM radio station will be merged with WBLS-FM 107.5, a rival radio station in the New York City urban adult contemporary radio market. This will happen on Monday, March 27.

During the merger, the current Kiss FM DJs will transfer to the new WBLS roster. Their programing will include tributes to the legacy of Kiss.
