Giannis Antetokounmpo may be one of the most famous, well-known, basketball players on the planet. But he isn't the only Antetokounmpo that's played in the NBA.The son of Nigerian immigrants born in Greece, Antetokounmpo's story is well Chicago Bears Golf Sporting Goods known by now starting with selling bootleg CDs on the streets of Athens to now having a Disney film .As Giannis' star rose, so did the spotlight on not only his brothers, but his mother and father, and now his wife and infant sons as well.What does Antetokoumpo's family tree look like? Here's a breakdown of how many brothers have played in the NBA and who the rest of the Antetokounmpo family members are. Thanasis is the most well-known of the Antetokounmpo brothers - or Antetokounbros, as they call themselves. He is the older brother of Giannis and the first of the brothers to be born in Athens.Just like Giannis, he too began playing youth club basketball with the junior teams of Filathlitikos, in 2008. He worked his way up to the senior team.After originally declaring for the 2013 NBA Draft,he withdrew from the draft on the day of the withdrawal deadline.He had originally entered the draft with his younger brother Giannis, who was eventually drafted 15th overall by the Bucks. When Giannis's name was called out, it was Thanasis who was by his side waving a Greek flag.He had a one-season stint with the Delaware 76ers in the NBA G-League before finally being selected in the NBA Draft in 2014, taken in the second-round by the Alec Ogletree Jersey New York Knicks.After bouncing back between the Knicks and their G-League affiliate, the Westchester Knicks, the NBA Knicks decided not to renew Thanasis' deal and he left for Europe where he played with Andorra and Greek powerhouse Panathinaikos before the Milwaukee Bucks signed him in July 2019.He won a championship with the Bucks, alongside his brother, in 2021. Just like his two older siblings, Kostas played for Filathlikos in Athens.He later made the move to the United States to play high school basketball in 2013 when Giannis was drafted by the Bucks. AtDominican High School, Kostas helped lead the team to the championship as a senior.Kostas played university ball at the University of Dayton before declaring for the 2018 NBA draft. Just like Thanasis, Kostas was taken in the second-round of the draft (60th overall) by the Philadelphia 76ers and immediately traded to the Dallas Mavericks. He signed a two-way deal and bounced back-and-forth between the NBA and the G-league in his rookie season.He was waived by the Mavericks in 2019, and claimed by the Los Angeles Lakers with whom he would win an NBA title in 2020 becoming not only the first Greek-born player to win an NBA title, but also the first of the Antetokounmpo brothers to do so as well.He is currently playing with ASVEL Basket in the French league. He went undrafted, but he signed with the Toronto Raptors G-League affiliate, Raptors 905, following Summer League.After one season with Raptors 905, Alex was traded to the Wisconsin Herd, G League affiliate of the Bucks.
