Action movies have made their way into video games in a variety of ways; whether it's Rambo and John McClane in Warzone or Arnold Schwarzenegger in Mortal Kombat, plenty of action movies have made their way into video games. Even outside of actors, there are references, locations, and objects from movies that have made their way into video games, ranging from subtle easter eggs to overt allusions to films and television shows. Rocket League is one of many popular games that has benefited from sponsorships and crossovers with other major film franchises, such as Fast Furious, many Batman/DC films, Ghostbusters, and, most recently, the James Bond films, to name a few examples.

As time has progressed, the Rocket League car roster has seen a significant increase in the number of pop culture references. As a result of the addition of the iconic Aston Martin DB5 from James Bond, there is certainly room for more iconic movie cars to be added to the already-impressive collection of film cars. Although the game already includes vehicles such as the stylish Fast and Furious Skyline GT-R and the iconic Back to the Future DeLorean DMC-12, there is still an abundance of vehicles that could be included in a seasonal expansion or crossover DLC.

It would be appropriate for the Lotus Esprit from The Spy Who Loved Me to appear in a Rocket League match, complete with its submarine body kit (though it would be preferable if there was no water on stage during a Rocket League match). The newer Aston Martin DBS V12 and V12 Vanquish from Casino Royale and Die Another Day, as well as the BMW Z8 from The World is Not Enough, all deserve to be mentioned as worthy honorable mentions.

'Herbie,' says the narrator. The 1963 Volkswagen Beetle from the film The Love Bug
However, while the old VW Beetle with a mind of its own may not be quite as iconic as Rocket League Items Steam PC once was, the goofy but endearing addition to the Rocket League Rocket League Items Switch roster would be well worth the wait. Considering the Herbie car's very specific design, there wouldn't be much in the way of customization options, but Rocket League Items Epic PC would still be a memorable addition to the lineup. Even if players don't remember the old The Love Bug movies from 1968 onwards, the Herbie Beetle is still a fairly well-known design in the world of movie automobiles, especially in the United States. Furthermore, Rocket League has never really had a Beetle-like design in any of its original cars, despite having similar-sized cars with a variety of different designs as well as the Beetle.

From Ferris Bueller's Day Off, we have the 'Ferrari.
The Ferrari from Ferris Bueller's Day Off would be a fantastic addition to the Rocket League roster, especially when paired with other supercars already on the roster, such as the McLaren 570S. The iconic Ferrari Racing Red has already graced the world of Fortnite with the presence of the Ferrari 296 GTB, making the addition of a second iconic Ferrari to Rocket League even more logical. If the original Ferrari from the film is a replica of the original 250 GT California Spyder, being able to score some goals in the iconic coupe would be downright awesome, to put cheap Rocket League items mildly. Is there anything stopping another more iconic Ferrari from appearing in Rocket League if a Ferrari can appear in Fortnite?

Christine's Plymouth Fury from 1958.
Keeping with the theme of iconic red cars, a certain Stephen King-inspired addition to Rocket League could inject some horror into the game's vehicle roster. Due to the combative nature of Rocket League's gameplay, Christine's iconic red prowler would make a great addition to the game, and cheap Rocket League credits is unquestionably one of the most iconic movie cars ever designed. Arnie, a young adolescent, purchases the unassuming classic car, which was originally envisioned by King as a 1958 Plymouth Fury, to make a statement to his peers.

Shortly after getting into the car, Arnie begins to develop a manic personality, and the Plymouth Fury begins to become increasingly sentient and aggressive, all at the same time. If this car, appropriately named Fury, were to join Rocket League's car roster, Rocket League Items Switch would be a terrifying addition capable of intimidating any opponent.
